Chapters 8-11
Throughout the final chapters of the book, I couldn't help but to wonder if the writers intentions for writing this book was to open our eyes. The author constantly mentioned a balance between man and nature, as well as within science and religion. In the origin of human, we could see how both the scientific side as well as the christian interpretation of how man was created can coexist. Nothing is or will ever really be set in stone and the way we, as humans are thinking has to change. We cannot keep going against one another. In this universe we are only here for a sliver of time, and we have already left our prints all over. It is time to make a positive step and learn to become understanding and loving to ourselves, others, and this universe.

Chapters 4-7 Journey of the Universe
Chapters four through seven were more about the actual natural and scientific side of the universe. Chapter four was about the solar system, and made me raise questions on how the solar system actually came about. The moon has a dramatic impact on the earth when it comes to the tides and the basic push and pull of everything. Also, the sun has a dramatic affect because it plays a crucial role that allows life to be able to thrive. In the next chapters, the universe is put under a more microscopic view. The book starts the topics as being a huge ting, and then goes down to atomic level where it expresses the whole energy concept that drives the universe.

Homework
Food Justice: Food Justice is the idea that food and its way of growing is healthy for the body, as well as equitable for all people.
Farm/Nature Therapy: Becoming one with nature and being able to just relax and creating a bond within yourself and your environment.
Nature Deficit Disorder: Children and people not spending enough time outside and causes a wide range of behavior problems.
As time goes on, humans have been spending less and less time with nature and unfortunately it is causing negative effects on the world around us. Due to the fact that we have stopped our communication with nature, people have felt the need to cut corners and do nearly anything in order to get what they want faster. In doing so, food with harsh chemicals has become the main food source. As people began to realize the harsh effects of cutting corners, organic food started becoming the new fad. Organic products and food tends to be more expensive which cuts out those less fortunate from having the same opportunities to a healthier life. Food Justices' purpose is to battle that ideal and set up a way for an equal playing field when it comes to good food.
As if having a corrupt food source wasn't enough, more people are spending time away from nature and becoming disassociated with it entirely. because of this, more people are beginning to develop Nature Deficit Disorder. This was a term coined by Richard Louv in 2005.
